We’ve been busy last week adding Fire TV and Chromecast additions for the Zattoo and Amazon Prime Instant Video reviews, as well as a minor update for Netflix’s. The Amazon Fire TV is looking like it’s becoming our favourite IPTV platform, what with its ability to mix apps from multiple countries (requires easy hack) and its super fast UI.
Come October 23rd, Amazon’s Fire TV launches in the UK with a basic range of apps expected for “yet another” streaming set-top-box, including the usual suspects of Netflix and Amazon Prime. But along for the ride are a relatively unknown outfit who just may be paving the road for the end of traditional terrestrial live television.
This week we’ve finally got our hands on the Amazon Fire TV, so expect a whole new plethora of reviews to roll out over the next few months. Now, you would expect us to start with an Amazon Prime review for this box, but since that service is so feature-rich on this platform, that will have to come later. Our first review is Zattoo’s Jekyll & Hyde app, which is both the best IPTV streaming service we’ve seen on a set-top-box, yet missing Zattoo’s most important features – at least if you are used to the Swiss version!
