News: 9Now Lands on Apple TV

It’s finally happened overnight with the last of Australia’s major television networks making its way onto the Apple TV 4. As of today, all five major free-to-air Aussie broadcasters have on-demand apps on Apple’s streaming device with Network Nine being the last to launch an app.

This latest addition makes Australia one of the most well covered nations for on-demand television on the Apple TV, with ABC iView, SBS On-demand, Plus7, 9Now and TenPlay all providing access to their content for catch-up viewing.

9Now have also gone that one extra step for their viewers, providing free live streams for their four channels Nine, 9Gem, 9Go! and 9Life.

Network Nine is consistently one of the nation’s two highest rated commercial FTA television networks, providing a range of content consisting mainly of American and British imports, along with a small selection of locally made content.

9Now is also available via Airplay from iOS devices, and can be downloaded for free from the Australian app store.
